How-to rank up a general - Total War Arena

For players wanting to unlock Germanicus' Vengeance or Caesar' Divide and Conquer it is sure confusing as to how to rank up their general.Unlike other moba games in Total War winning matches does not mean moving up a rank!

In Total War Arena your general levels up as you invest your hard earned XP into his abilities like below.

As you level up the abilities you will notice on the general selection tab that the small blue diadems light up.

These diadems show how many upgrades you are away from the next rank, so in the above photo Germanicus is two upgrades from hitting level V.
